Warranty

Where your order comes from

We buy each unit through the brands' authorized distributor, and your order ships to you directly from authorized distribution.

The manufacturer's warranty

The warranty on each unit we sell is issued by its manufacturer, under that manufacturer's own published terms. We do not sell third-party warranty plans.

Coverage differs by brand, by model and by part. A Majestic gas fireplace warranty, for example, covers the firebox for far longer than its electrical parts. The manufacturer's warranty document is the final word on your unit; Majestic states that the warranty that shipped with your fireplace is the one it honors.

Questions about the warranty on a particular model are welcome before you order. Write to support@hearthcourt.com or call or text (307) 317-1030.

Manufacturer warranty information

For Napoleon and Bromic products, write or call us and we will help you with the warranty terms for your model.

How a warranty claim works

  • Contact us first: email support@hearthcourt.com or call or text (307) 317-1030.
  • Tell us your order number and what is happening. If you can, include the model and serial number, your installation date, and photos or a short video of the problem.
  • We open the warranty claim with the manufacturer, handle the back-and-forth, and keep you informed at every step.
  • Some manufacturers ask their own technical team to diagnose the problem before a claim is approved. When that applies, we set it up with you.
  • What the warranty pays for, such as parts, labor and a technician's visit, is set by the manufacturer. Majestic's warranty, for example, has separate terms for parts and for labor, and asks owners to check in advance for any costs of a warranty service call.

Keeping your coverage

  • Have your unit installed by a qualified professional, following the manufacturer's installation instructions and your local building codes. Gas connections should be made by a licensed gas fitter or plumber. Manufacturers can refuse coverage for damage caused by an improper installation.
  • Keep your order confirmation and note your installation date. Depending on the brand, coverage is counted from the purchase date or from the installation date.
  • Register your unit with the manufacturer when it arrives. Some brands tie a longer warranty term to registration; Modern Flames does, according to its published warranty statement.
  • Use the manufacturer's parts for any repair. Unapproved parts or modifications can void a warranty.

Shipping damage is handled separately

Damage that happens in shipping is not a warranty matter. Inspect your delivery before the driver leaves, photograph the packaging, and write “upon final inspection” next to your signature on the delivery receipt. Report any shipping damage, visible or concealed, and any missing or incorrect items to support@hearthcourt.com within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number and photos. We handle the carrier claim and the resolution at no cost to you. The 48-hour window starts at delivery, not at installation. Our shipping policy has the full delivery checklist.

After installation

Once a unit has been installed or burned, it can no longer be returned. From then on, any defect is handled through the manufacturer's warranty, and we coordinate that process with you from start to finish. Our returns policy has the details.
